Off we go....

Things in the Kleppinger house are all a buzz...we are ALL getting excited for our upcoming vacation...and, it's not a moment too soon!!

We will be heading down to Orlando, Florida for the Nazarene General Assembly. We will be spending 3 1/2 days fully immersing ourselves in all GA has to offer. The kids will be involved in all of the activities for children, they have me working! I will be in charge of leading some small groups, walking the kids through the Parade of Nations (where they get to learn about all the different regions our missionaries are a part of), as well as, walking them through the Compassion Connections (we will be do missions projects for kids around the world, as well as families in need in the Orlando area). Please be praying for us as we are a part of these activities. Not only will there be 500+ kids involved in these activites, but it is my hope and prayer that the children of this denomination would catch the vision that THEY have a place and things God can equip them to do , not matter WHAT age they are! I hope MY children see the vision and take hold that they are NEVER TOO YOUNG to be called by God!!!

We will also be spending time with a LARGE amount of family. There will be a HUGE SCOTT FAMILY reunion while we are there. This will be such an awesome time, as I cannot tell you the last time we got this many of us together! I am excited that my kids will get to meet family they have never met before, prayed for, but never met! What an opportunity! We will definitely miss those that are unable to come...we love you all!!

Of course, you can't go to Orlando without doing a little sight seeing. So, we will be spending a day, just the 5 of us at Sea World, and then a whole BIG group of us will be spending a day at Disney World. The kids are going to BURST, they are SO excited!!! It will be so much fun to share these experiences with them.

Then, we will need a vacation from our vacation, so we will be doing just that. We will then head down to Kleppinger country in Miami. We will get to spend a week down there with Jeff's parents, and some extended family. The kids are very excited about this too...they are really hoping to watch fireworks on the 4th of July from Grampa's boat! We'll see, maybe we can work that out!! After a week there, Jeff, Caleb, and I will head home and the girls will stay to spend a week with Grammie and Grampa, alone...be praying for Grammie and Grampa ;)
We know they will have a great time, but are unsure how Caleb will handle his entourage being gone for a week! :)

They will come home and we will head right into VBS...nothing like packing it all in!!
We are really looking forward to the time together as a family! For those of you also heading down to General Assembly, hope we run into you!! To everyone else, hope your summer is just as fun, and maybe a little less packed ;)

The Dancers...

We were SO proud of the girls last Friday night as they performed in their very first dance recital! They took ballet and jazz lessons from 2 pastor's daughters in a neighboring town. The daughters do not ask for anything , no costumes (they use their old ones), no dance shoes, and just a very modest fee for the lessons. We figured what better way to learn dance than from 2 dancers that have a Christian perspective on the art. Our girls had a FABULOUS time and boy did they work hard! This was not just a fun time, it was HARD WORK! Their instructors did a great job and taught them SO MANY things!
The recital had a Peter Pan theme...so, in Kaitlyn's ballet number they were mermaids, in her jazz number they were pirates. In Hannah's ballet number she was Jane, one of the newest Peter Pan characters, and in her jazz number, she was an Indian. Here are some pictures of the night...ENJOY!

Fun at the Zoo!

We had a GREAT time today at the zoo!  We had some friends join us too, which made it even MORE fun!!  Many thanks to Ms. Karen, our favorite (and only) babysitter who came along to help me with the kids.  I wouldn't have been able to do it without her!!!!  She knows how much she is loved!!

We had such a GREAT time!  All of the kids loved seeing the animals, they were all well-behaved, and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!!  We really could not have asked for a better day!  What a fantastic way to start off our summer.  (We tried to go last week, but it was raining).
The funniest part of the day was when Caleb saw the lion.  All of the sudden we hear him saying, 'POOR LION!'  So, I asked him why he was saying that...his response, 'because he's dead!'  HA!  He wasn't dead, HE WAS SLEEPING!!!  There is a picture of Caleb and the lion down below...poor lion!
Here are some pictures of the fun day:
